dc.description.abstractA Jeol 100CX scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) is being rehabilitated with the intention of using it to explore microstructures of thin metal films. The vacuum system has been analyzed and tested. Modification of the electronics has allowed for more efficient troubleshooting techniques.
