Students can remember his humorous chapels and his costumes for every occasion. You never knew what to expect when we showed up to one of his chapels. Whether it was a gigantic storybook or a pikachu costume, you always came in with a smile and left with a deeper understanding of what he spoke about. He was loved during his time here and will be dearly missed in his retirement. The following are some thoughts and memories that various students and professors have of Dr. John Brittain's time here at Houghton. I could say something about Dr. Brittain's amazing sense of humor or how much of a man of God he is, but I think the thing that impresses me most is how he always treats you like you are an important, interesting person. And he is very kind. - Sarah Slater '15 One of my favorite memories of Dr. Brittain was from my freshman year. At SPOT he I most admired Dr. Brittain’s came on stage as the ability to maintain an even Christopher Walken character keel, at least publicly, at all from the "More Cowbell" SNL times. I never recall seeing skit with many freshmen or hearing him act or speak students playing the other in a thoughtless fashion. I roles. This immediately know that in his position, endeared me to him and he would have had ample showed his love and opportunities to “go off.” commitment to the student Never saw it. Still waters, body. do indeed, run deep. - Daniel Holtz '10 - Dr. Walters Dr. Brittain is very relaxed and people-focused. He puts people at ease, and makes groups of people collaborate well together. - Hannah Kahler '15 H Connor Sherry Kenneth Ellis Michael JiYoung Rebecca Angell Ballard Bates Brotzman Burr Choi Crouch Justin Sarah Laura Marcia Cheryl Lucinda Davis Derek Dibble Fancher Giabrone Hannigan Michelle Mark Christopher Karen Joseph Hillman Hunter Margo Gina Jordan Keppen Kettelkamp Leete Liddick Stephen Alicia Martinez Rick Richard Mattiace Mucher Jun-Koo Robert Nelson Park Pool Reynolds Yvonne David Ribaudo Ryan Smith Dennis Aaron Spear Sunshine Seth Stack Sullivan Sullivan Taylor faculty Zina Christopher Elise Karen Lee-Anna Jami Teague Tetta Torolli Torraca Upperman Vandock Walters Laura Daniel Brian Matthew Richard Darlene Aimee Wardwell Wartinger Webb Webb Wellington Wells White ■B Ashley Bradley Michael Joseph Isaac Christopher Stephanie Whitney Wilber Wild Wilmot Wingfield Winkens Wittenrich Pamela Dustin John Kathleen Dale Rebekah Jo-Anne Witter Woodard Woodard Woolsey Wright Yates Young Mark Donna Zoller A Airhart Douglas Gaerte Mark Arber Marc Smith®' Barbara Arensen Phyllis Gaerte David Lewis Janyce Smithy Jon Arensen Andrew Gallman Eileen Lewis Norman Smith Cynthia Austin Diane Galloway Benjamin Lipscomb Josiah Snelgr Kevin Austin Robert Galloway Susan Lipscomb Rachael Snelgr Glen Avery Hilary Gunning Jerry Livingston Jr. Jillian Sok Lori Sonnet* Margery Avery Timothy Gunning Heidi Lockwood Ashley Hackett Marianne Loper Molly sp®a Jeggery Babbit Erin Bard Donald Haingray Harold Lord Nancy Stan Gary Baxter Richard Halberg Nancy Louk-Murphy Richard Steg Wendy Baxter Leigh Haley Susan Martin owl s^tl Stacy Beardsley Deanna Hand Charles Massey Gregory Bish Andrew Hannan Bridget Mast Chris Ste^ Linda SW Patricia Black Elizabeth Mayhle Ellen Hatch Robert Black Peter Meilaender Cynthia Syn* Kelley Hijleh Diane Boll David Mercer Amy y’ Mark Hijleh Gwen Mercer Christopher^ Andrea Boon Heather Hill Kulli Ton'5' David Brubaker Michele Miller Eva Hillman Linda Mills-Woolsey jsg Betty Bunt Didi Hodge Andrew Burg Daniel Minchen Donell Hoffman Leah Byrgess Jane Miner Sharleen Holmes Jane Buteyn Daniel Moore Keith Horn Jason Mucher -sg John Buteyn Dwight Hornibrook Katherine Buvoltz Shirley Mullen Karen Hotchkiss Theodore Murphy Dale wny Kristin Camenga Jonathan Case David Howard Christopher Nafziger Miriam Case Irmgard Howard Brian Nelson Brian Casey Wei Hu William Newbrough James 40 Annette Hunt-Sheperd Daniel Noyes Martin Coates Elizabeth Oakerson Kimberly Cockle David Huth Lori Huth Ronald Oakerson Ed Cole Nancy Cole James Hutter Andrew Oden Helena Oden Marlene Collins Kevin Jackson John Oden Judy Congdon Gabriel Jacobsen Virginia Jacobsen Terence Paige Ryan Cool Ray Parlett Mary Cronk James Janiszeski Meic Pearse Paul Cronk Arleen Jennings Matthew Pelletier Laurie Dashnau Brandon Johnson Stephen Plate Mark Dashnau Danielle Johnson Audrey Pocock Carrie Davies Sandra Johnson Jamie Potter David Davies Sharon Johnson Trini Rangel Eileen De Boer Jill Jordan Brian Reitnour Paul De Boer John Jordan Sheri Reynolds Marcus Dean Jennifer Keeler John Rhett Sarah Decker Tammie Kelley Renee Roberts James DeFelice Thomas Kettelkamp Jean-Louis Roederer Karen Dickerson Ndunge Kiiti Susanna Roorbach William Doezema David Kinman Lois Ross Matthew Dougherty Jeff Kirksey John Rowley Richard Eckley Eli Knapp Brandon Rush Darby Emerson Jerry Knapp Elizabeth Rutledge Katherine Felton Kristina LaCelle-Peterson Betsy Sanford Teresa Felton Deborah Shea Constance Finney Cynthia Lastoria Carlton Fisher Michael Lastoria Paul Shea Jeremy Shepard Eileen Frawley Kimberly Lawson Robert Smalley Cathy Freytag Abigail Ledebur Gail Smith FACULTY AND STAFF Abbie Aioi Carli Anderson Lillian Anderson Wanderson Tyler Ashley Lauren Bechtell Christopher Berg Andrade-De-Jesus Rebekah Bissett Graham Bitzer Gregory Bock Victoria Bonners Kaitlin Borth Mark Boston Jerbrel Bowens Emma Brittain Thomas Eckert (President), Sarah Wang (Vice President), Kyle Craft (Treasurer), Veronica Gerace (Secretary), James Hughes (Chaplain), Julianna Evans (Chaplain), Matt Cannon, Alissa Mittelman (Social/Activities Chairs), Erin Salati (Historian), RD Marek, Rebekah Bissett (Senator), Greg Bish (Advisor) Derek Brooker Seth A.
